Thanks for the additional pics. Quite wide blisters on the hull to accomade those mines. Glad you got good plans. I knew how the mines were stored but I always wondered how they released them.
In regard to the Milch Cows ie: Subs for carrying supplies... There was an interesting WWI German Sub class used as a Merchant Submarine. The one I recall from History was U-155. It was used to trade with the USA before we entered World War 1. Pretty sure it was completly unarmed so was considered ok for trade with the US.
I did a quick search and the U-155 was converted into a "warship" with deck guns and Torpedo tubes later in the war. "He" had an impresive war record.
