That is indeed a Stettin-built battleship of the Chinese navy. There were two; Chen Yuen and Ting Yuen. They were launched in 1881- 1882. A good reference is "The Chinese Steam Navy" by Richard Wright, Chatham Publishing. A number of years ago Bronco sold a really nice kit on 1/350.

Now "THAT"S" the way it's suppose to look ! 

Did you happen to do a W.I.P. on it ?
