I think the ugliest ship I saw while in the Navy was an LKA, USS El Paso I believe. It looked like a cross between a grain ship and one of those transports you see on the old D-Day newsreels. Of course I was with gator fleet both cruises so amphibs aren't the prettiest things... efficient but not pretty. LPH and LPD... an LPD is pretty ugly come to think of it...
