gee . . . you know how to ask a hard question. It's been ages since I've seen the movie. Which subs do you mean - the navy one at the start; the underwater search vessel; or the little white rescue/exploration subs?

Besides doing an internet search on a search engine (which I'm not gonna do) the best bet would be to get as much picture/movie stills as possible - that may mean buying the DVD and freezing it at those sences (a common thing agmonst sci-fi modelers) or getting the extras off the DVDs. Next I would head over the Starship Modeler and post this on their board - besides sci-fi models theres heaps of people that do movie stuff.

best of luck - sounds like an interesting subject - I esp like the sence at the end where the two mini subs are locked together with one hanging over the edge of the cliff!

Thanks for the input Luke, the mini sub types is the ones i'm after, i'vebeen to the starship site but no luck even through the www there's no solid info as the way of photos go, i looked at the DVD special disc but there's not that much clear shots my DVD player can't pause and any frame by frame or slow setting is toast, thanks for the input though.

one last shot - you could try and email/contact the public relations dept at Twentieth Century Fox and ask for any photos of behind the sences production, or if they recommend any other resources or books - it's worth a try!
