       I did La Gloire to the sounds of "The Darkside of the Moon" by "Pink Floyd" There's something about Music and Rigging that goes hand in hand don'tchya think? Based on your Cabinet there, I believe you could get sheet and use corner anchors to hold it together(No Glue) and protect those Beauties!

        Considering the time involved I think it would be worth looking into!

cases would be nice lurch , but I just don't have the tools , skills or room to make them unfortunately .

You do such fantastic work perhaps you could make or have made display cases for them. You should display you work cause it is fabulus and you such great detailing on them.

So here is a question for you. You have built a bunch of ships over the years I have known you. Where do you have them displayed? Do you have a special room for them? Scattered around the house? You should have a museum by now.

        If I didn't know better I would say you are at the Royal Riggers pier in Upper Liverpool! You Sir, are doing one fantastic job there. My Rigging hat is off to you. How do you like doing the rigging so far? Strangely enough, When I did commissions like this, I would put some Lite Classical music on the Stereo and brew a fresh pot of Coffee, A Dollop of Brandy in the cup, and sip "Brandy and Coffee" and rig to my heart's content perfectly relaxed!

      If you have a mind to it .For some of us it is relaxing. For some it is a necessity and for some others, pure stringy Hell! A well rigged Model ship is a sight to behold ,Especially when you know what the person doing it did, and how well they did do it!

thanks guy's , I think you are right bob , about the preventer stay , so i am going to wait until the main top mast stay and preventer stays are on , they might tension them back .

Are you sure they came loose?  Pictures, BTW, are excellent.  I couldn't see anything amiss on the channels or deadeyes.  Perhaps your main preventer stay is too tight and pulled the foremast back, thus "loosening" the tension on the front-most shrouds?  Only other explanation might be the lashing between the first & second shroud came loose.

Otherwise excellent work.

Peeking in on ya, Mate. Nice progress and it's looking fantastic. 

got the main shrouds in , and the lanteen spar and sail  straightened out , just a few rope coils to make for the belaying pins .
