Bud,  There are some websites on the PT Boats with color pics
http://www.ptfnasty.com/

Also, T. Garth connelly had written the Squadron book "PT Boats in Action"
Al Ross co-authored Allied Coastal Forces of WWII" vol.2

Which PT are you planning on doing?

1.  Try Loyalhanna Dockyard , if they don't have the decals, look for Woodland Scenics dry transfers in the railroad section of the local hobby shop.  You can apply the dry transfers to blank waterdlide decal paper, and the apply the homemeade decals to the model.

2.  Look for 1/72 scale armor figures, specifically US infantry or Marines from WWII.  You'll probably have to shave off some parts, like gun belt and back packs.

3.  There aren't many color pictures of PT boats, try looking at Knights of the Sea.

PT Boat Help
Posted by Dubau on Sunday, July 9, 2006 7:35 AM

Hi all. I am getting the items I need to start my Revell's 1/72 PT Boat and wanted to know some things.

1. Does anyone know where I can get or how to make different Decals. I don't want it saying PT-109. I need other numbers.

2. This is a 1/72 model and have no idea where I could find more people to add to the boat. I am looking for....well not the regler kind of people you would find on a PT Boat. What scale in mm would I have to look for ?

3. Anyone know where I could find some color photos of a PT Boat ?

Well I think that's it.

Thanks all

Bud
