Hey bondo, I cant help you at all but since im thinking of trying my hand at a few ships as well I will gladly piggy back on your thread.......

It is only the intellect that keeps me sane; perhaps this makes me overvalue intellect against feeling

Revell 1/400 ships
Posted by bondoman on Friday, August 3, 2007 1:34 AM

My name is Bondoman and I am an N scale railroader, and a retired treadhead and a fledgling aircraft modeler.

For the best reasons, ie it made me happy when I was a lonely little kid, I have bought three ship models and will build them this Fall.

They are the Revell tanker, seaplane tender and landing craft ship. I also have bought the big GMM fret with all kinds of stuff, and their decal sheet.

My proposition: I need to learn really basic stuff- overall grey colors, deck colors, mast colors.

What are the best books/sites for these types of ships?

In return: I know a lot about N RR and almost as much about airplane (aircraft) models, in particular on the commercial side.

Looking forward to any help!!

Bondoman
