Great subtle weathering, love the bell.  

I'm currently building the 1944 version and have a question.  What did you use for the deck 'railing?'  I'm thinking I will use monofilament colored black with sharpie, but I'm not sure.

"Tazmanian" - my modeler - used industrial and he mixed mother colors (RGB) into desired colors. As for the deck railing, he used excess sprues (heating and extending to be very thin). ;-)
