Hi Mike.  Your right  Mike, but accidents do happen by the most unbelievable ways!  I hate to be the one to test run spraying urethane, paint thinner, lacquers, and others on a clear 100 - 300 watt bulbs.

I'm glad to hear that we can speed dry the models  without harm to the paint finishes.  Now I've got to make a box.  I think Betty (my love, wife, and friend for forty years)  put  pad lock on the food dehydrator!Crying  Do you center the light on the   top of the box.  I guess that I'm going to use Testors silver on my P-51 or do you recommend another paint for a metal surface.  Thanks Bud.Tongue Tied

Bud, Yes I have the bulb in the center, top of the box facing downward. It can be anywhere really and I would put it as far from the model as possible or adjust the wattage accordingly.

Also remember I am doing this with flat paints and have not tried it with gloss.

I have also used it to dry Future but it does tend to make the finish less glossy as it dries so fast it does not level out as well as it does when dried slower. Your mileage may vary. Wink

Mike
