I've recently got back into the hobby too. I bought a cheapo Chinese gravity feed and compressor combo from ebay just to see if I would get on with it as I'm relatively new to Airbrushing.

As I did my research, I read many good reviews and watched some on Youtube of the Sparmax range. I bought the Sparmax Max-3 for £50 (approx $70) http://www.ebay.com/itm/Airbrush-Sparmax-Max3-Max-3-0-3mm-nozzle-7ml-cup-gravity-feed-double-action-/262797070771?hash=item3d2fed11b3:g:RCIAAOSwA3dYcRU5. It really is a fantastic little AB. Gravity feed, dual action, and it has a paint feed control at the rear. I'm still using the cheapo compressor, but I'm looking at upgrading very soon.

Hope this helped.

OK It's been a while but I finally pulled the trigger.  Turned out my son wanted a compressor pedal for his electric guitar rather than the model so I built one of those for him instead...

But for Christmas I am making my oldest daughter a 1967 Impala SS (her Dream Car) so I needed an Airbrush (FINALLY).

I went to Don's site and WOW what a wealth of information there!!!  I have to thank him directly.  But I just got a brand new Badger 155 Anthem airbrush kit, includeing a hose, cup, jar and tools off eBay for $56.00.

So I think I did ok.

Thank you for all you help!!!
