                        I found that the thin wire that comes with testors liquid cement (to unclog the applicator) also works well for cleaning out the tip of my old Badger 100 series AB . Unfortunately, this wire is very easy to misplace--short of trekking back to the local hobby shop to buy another liquid cement, does anyone know of a super-thin (@ .2mm) type of wire i can obtain to do the job?

                        Everybody misplaces those wires. I think there is a place in the universe where they all end up. If someone finds it they'll have millions. Big Smile [:D]

                        Good question about alternative source. Don't know. I got a bunch of ~0.7 rods. They are made of steel and came in a grab bag of metal parts (K&S Metals). Copper wire would be too flimsy.

                        Badger makes a 3-sided reamer that works quite well for cleaning out the tips. Just be careful with it or a fine tip will become a medium in a hurry. You can also get brushes small enough to go through them.

                        Try looking into music wire. It comes in small sizes and is very hard to bend.

                        actually went for ordering a new Badger 100 LG AB / Med head assembly-- Bear Air suggested getting a bamboo skewer & shaving it down to fit the nozzle opening-- he mentioned that any other abrasive material could score the inside of the nozzle and provide for a collection point for dried paint. thanks for your posts

                        Um, yes a .2mm wire. Found at many hobby shops in steel and brass. ;)
