Free Paasche VL for young modeler
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, August 9, 2005 10:01 AM
Ok, to risk the chance of getting bombarded with emails, I'll post this anyway.

Can anyone recommend a younger modeler here that I can give a Paasche VL ABto.

It was in the box when my compressor arrived that I had bought on ebay. Since I have a brandnew Badger 155 I know it will never get used.
I cleaned it up, and it's now working. I soaked the tip in oven cleaner to loosen up the paint, and them ran thinner and windex thorugh it.
However, whoever gets it, might wan to go through it with a fine tooth comb.

So, I would like to give it to someone younger, who has been thinking about getting an airbrush, but can't really afford one. It comes with a hose.

Good job Henchman... it's nice to see these kinda things on here... and at least you're nice about it. When I got my 155 I did the same thing and gave it away here to someone young... but it was a cheap Aztec... I guess I'm not such a nice guy! Wink [;)]

As the recent recipient of a free Badger 150, I can truly understand the kindness and generosity of your gesture. Although, it may be hard to get people to "speak up" on the forums, as they may be too shy, or wish not to appear greedy. I would mention my son's name, but since I'm planning on passing down the 150 once I upgrade my AB, quite likely to the 155, I will politely decline.

I hope you find that lucky youngster soon, and bid you happy modeling!

So long folks!

Bah, knew i should have read the forums sooner....

I'm thinking about getting one, saving up the money for one...i just can't get over the fact that i need to buy the AB, compressor, AND all the other stuff i would need.

It makes me just want to keep using my good ol' paint brushes
