Need Help Finding a Post or Related Information
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, October 13, 2005 9:15 PM
A while back ( don't exactly remember when ) i saw either a post on this forum, or i might have just stumbled onto somewhwere else on the internet. Something tells me it was here though. Anyway, it was about painting the engines on an Su-27. I thought that i bookmarked whatever it was but when i was looking for it the other day i couldn't find it. I was hoping maybe someone knows what it is that i'm talking about or where i can find it. i remember that the author talked about tinting the metalizers with blue and yellow, and he used oils to show hydraulic leakage. there was a few pictures with it. but thats about all i can remember. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have seen that same online article. I can't remember exactly where it was either, but for some reason I think it was on Large Scale Planes but I could easily be wrong.

I think what are you looking for available at www.aircraftresourcecenter.com.
Open at tips 'n' tools section washes & weathering. You'll find good article by Paul Brown how to weather Su-27 Flanker at metal parts. Very impressive. Hope that help you.
