Campbel-Hausfeld AB

Hey gang;

Looked at the C-H catalog in the airgun section and found that they had a double action airbrush with all the toys.  Anybody have any ideas on how good or bad this could be?

Thanks;

Hey Steve, I don't know exactly what AB you are talking about. Campbell-Hausfeld doesn't list any at their site. But I found one listed at J&L Industrial Supply, not sure if it's the one?

If it's the one, it could either be made by Badger or a knockoff. Badger does make AB's for other companies without the Badger name on them.

Campbell-Hausfeld - #MP2900

Airbrush City - #1104

Badger - Model 150

If the price is right... who knows... Confused [%-)]

I had that airbrush a few years ago. Let me put it like this: I picked it up at a local model show after I bought a $4.00 kit from a guy. He threw the brush in for free because he said he didn't like it. I got it home and immediately knew why. And no, Badger parts don't fit. HTH.

I believe the Airbrush City unit listed above is a Chinese-made copy, rather than an "unbranded" Badger 150. I picked up an identical (judging by the pic anyway) unit from a local auto parts chain a while back.

This one's mine - compare with the pic above.

Thanks Jim. E, and Phil_H;

The MP 2900etc is the one in the catalog.  But, at $75 I might as well go with something proven from BearAir or some place like that.  Thanks again guys.

For that, you could buy a Badger Cresendo 175 double action from Dixie art and have a couple dollars left over for shipping. Most of the C-H stuff is ok for using once in awhile, little stuff, but if you use them a lot, they tend to wear out faster. I have 2 C-H welders, and little stuff breaks all the time. The quality isn't great, but they will get the job done.
