Just exactly is a pin wash and how do I do It?

from this months FSM it appears to be a thinned down wash that is thinner than normal and you pick out small details individually,,,such as individual bolts and rivets

Thanks, that's what I read but didn't know how to apply it.

                        current project: 1/24 MPC 109e found it at an IPMS show for five bux
