Little Help Please
Posted by jimz66 on Saturday, November 11, 2006 3:21 PM

I have a pair of Aztec airbrushes. I know we all have our opinions, mine is not to give up on my Aztec's.  I recently attempted to paint a 1/48 Hasegawa F-14B.  I had several troubles.

First:  I preshaded the aircraft with ink. Once I finiished that, I applied my base coats, I was using Gunze Sango paints. I began painting the model and the ink spots were completely invisible after I finished.

Second the paint went on too thick. It actually has a texture to it. I need to remove it and start again. What can I use to remove the paint and what can I do in the future to prevent this from happing again.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Thank you.

you didn't say what type of paint you used, but if you used acrylic you can soak it in Simple Green(Wal Mart) and if you used enamel you can soak it in brake fluid,,,,niether will harm the plastic or damage the clear pieces
