I received some sample packs of them with the Tenax kit I bought and I like them a lot. They are great for putting CA glue in small spots and painting in areas that a regular brush is hard to get into.

Ditto on the airbrush cleaning. I just got through using them. I wished they had one smaller sized microbrush so I could get the brush all the way to the tip of the nozzle on my airbrushes.

Don't know what size mine are (white ones) but I use them for polishing small areas of buffable metalic paints. You can get right up to the panel line with them.
Used them also for CA application.

I'll try the A/B cleaning thing, too.

MikeV, YES! I need those brushes! Who sells them? Those brushes would make my ABs squeeky clean! I doubt I could get them locally 'cause we are so backwards in Central CA.

if you have a HobbyLobby or a HobbyTown USA you can find them in by the painting supplies , you might even try Wal-Mart , I've seen them there a few times , and if all else fails you can probably buy some from the source .

hope that helps you out .

Walt,

I think roosterfish was asking me about the airbrush cleaning brushes. Wink [;)]

roosterfish,

They sell the "Airbrushers Brushes" at Bear Air, Dixie Art, and Coast Airbrush.
They are cheapest at Coast Airbrush in Anaheim, CA for $17.95.

How durable are the Airbrushers Brushes? Just wondering. Do they last long? I wouldn't want to pay that amount of money for something that would only last a couple of cleanings. But I would easily pay that the money for something that will last. It they are as good as they sound then to me they would be worth their weigh in gold.

roosterfish,

They last a long time and they are not affected by lacquer thinner.
I am not sure how long they will last, if you call Coast Airbrush then Dave or his staff can tell you what kind of life to expect from them. They also sell replacements for the 4 smallest brushes which are cheaper than the whole set.
I have had mine for about 6 years but they haven't been used that much.

I ended up ordering the set from Dixie Art. They had different sets of them, lots of different sets, so I figured just splurge and get the biggest set, the Master Cleaning Kit. I'm sure I can use all the brushes for something. Yeah, I'm sure my old toothbrush will still get used in my AB but at least I won't be short a cleaning brush I need.

Cool Cool [8D]

That's a different set of brushes than I have so I don't know anything about them, but they sound good.

I really like the microbrushes too.

I recently used one to simulate exhaust streaks on the inside of jet tailpipe with ground up charcoal. Nice results there.

I also used the related Ultrabrush recently for applying decal solution in some very tight spots in a cockpit the other day, that bendable brush end makes a lot of difference in how you can get to things in tight spots.

By the way you can find the same brushes and a few others from microbrush in the dental and cosmetics area of many stores like wal-mart. bye the bye the microbrush site is always giving away samples, check each area and they have give aways for almost every brush they make.

I use the really small tufted ones to apply Ambroid ProWeld glue and pastel chalks. I use the littlest brush to apply decal setting solution.

I use them for alot of things. I use them for cleaning my airbrush, for placing decal solution, touch up work, and for dry brushing.
