Attaching Solder to Plastic

I am currently building Tamiya's BMW R75 and am useing solder to create the detail around the leading edges of the sidecar entrance and hand hold, Any idea's for for easy attachment? Thanks, Michael.

I would lightly sand the solder to give the glue something to grip and try to use solder without flux. For glue I would choose thin CA.
