Best Online store for Tools and Modeling Supplies
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, October 28, 2003 5:36 PM
Im from Canada and dont have a huge selection of local shops or canadian online stores to purchase my modeling supplies from. I was just wondering what some other online stores you have all used and liked for things like selection, price, and shipping.

Im interested to hear what you think

Click on the link in my signiture, scan to the bottom of my website main page and click on the links page. There you will find a fairly comprehensive list of on-line hobby shops and suppliers of all sorts of neat stuff.

If you are interested in Japanese model company products, you can try www.hlj.com (hobby link Japan). I have used them and have had nothing but good experiences.
They are based in Japan, so shipping can be a bit more expensive, so it's better to order a lot of stuff in one shot :-)))))

I have found Roll Models to have the least expensive prices by far! Takes them longer to ship though compared to Squadron. However, their shipping times (2 - 3 weeks) are comparable to just about any other online hobby supply I've done business with.

Dad always said, "There's a difference between Miss Right and Miss Right Now." If you are looking for the Miss Right item, go online. If you are looking for a Miss Right Now item, go to your local hobby store.

These are also two more sites great for finding online and local resources.

http://www.scalemodelindex.com/

The links at these sites are pretty accurate, but the business listed might not be around anymore; such is the case with my local hobby shop. NOOOOO!!! Sad [:(]
