Hi - I sold a copy on eBay about a month ago for £175.  I had a reserve copy that then sold to the next highest bidder for £170.

Honestly - you are not going to find this cheap unless you stumble across it in a bargain bin.  You certainly won't get it for less than £100 - bear in mind it cost £60 when released.  There's a copy on amazon.co.uk right now for £175, I'd go with that.  I can understand you wanting to find a bargain but consider this - the extra cost is TOTALLY worth it - it's one of the best Luftwaffe books ever released.

In a shameless plug, I am currently selling a copy of JV44 The Galland Circus - why don't you watch it & see what it goes for.  It has 3 days to run.  I sold another copy at the same time I sold the Hs129 book & that too went for £170

good luck

so my other copy of JV44 went fro £160 this time - a good indication of what you can expect to pay for the first 2 volumes in the classic publications series

Thanks, I have seen a couple in the $275-295 range on Amazon lately.  This is the only book I need to complete my set, but I am not in a big hurry so I may get lucky and find something in the low to mid $200 range.

I believe it is considered to be the definitive book on the HS-129,  and this publisher (Classic) seems to never reprint a title no matter how desireable it has become. Their JV-44 and HO-229 titles are also pretty expensive.

I have two titles from them: the Hs129 and the JV44 books...

Wonder why the 129 book is so sought after???

Just like the real Hs129... low production numbers I suppose. When I hear stories/prices like these I wonder why the publisher (is this guy still around??) doesn't sell a digitized version, especially when you're talking about something that is a tiny niche market - people who want details on a German tank-buster.

That being said, I've found some books (that I honestly couldn't find "real" copies of) as pdfs online & flip through them on my iPod when needed - but I prefer a book in my hand to pixels on a screen.

Now that my ESCI Henschel is done, I'm thinking of picking up the Hasegawa kit with some AM bells & whistles, see if I can go nuts detailing it. Do you still have that Pegg book? May be interested - PM me when you get a chance,
