Balkancruz sizes
Posted by AndrewW on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 2:48 PM

Just curious if anyone can tell me definitively what sizes of balkancruz (even swastikas, chevrons and bars) were typically used on Messerschmitt's 109 Emils?  Thanks in advance.

They varied. The standard Fuselage crosses where 900mm, and wing tops were 1000mm, and bottoms again-900mm. The smaller ones you see-such as Hans Assi Han's emil were 660mm. these are black center, white outer, then thin black outline type. Not sure on the other markings.

Thanks, Nathan, that helps a lot.  I'd measured my decals, worked out in scale by multiplying, but I wanted to confirm it and couldn't find anything online.  Unfortunately, my masks are all marked by the full scale size (900, 1000, 1100 mm) and I wanted to make sure I had them right before I started.

Thanks again.
