F4F belly
Posted by Johnny1000 on Friday, November 11, 2016 2:04 PM

Hi

Does anyone have (or can point me to) a clear shot of the belly of an F4F just aft of the wings? Any varient, restoration is okay, though period shot would be better. I've searched all through the internets at just about every photo of that bird, as well as the F4F walkaround book.

There isn't one in any museum near me or I'd tromp off and shoot it myself.

Thanks!

This walkaround has some photos of that area.

Great, thanks!

I've seen that, but hadn't spoted the shot that peeks past the formation lights before.

I know the feeling... you look at shots for one reason, then look at them later on for another and see something that you were missing.
