Using Photobucket
Posted by David from PA on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 3:15 PM

Hi All,

I have been asked to show some photos of my current build but I don't understand how to use photobucket (or any other means) to upload pics. Seems way back when there was a tutorial about posting pics in the forum but I can't find it. Can someone please help?

Hey David, frustrating huh? I fought it for days and there appears to be no tutorial. Go to Photobucket and register. You should be able to establish "Your bucket''. I load my pictures to my desktop. On your bucket find and select "upload". You should get a place to drag from the desktop. When loaded you can select your individual pictures. Click on the photo you want. Your shot should come up as a single with info on the right. On ''share this photo find ''direct''. Click on the box to the right. The type in the box will turn blue. Drag the type in the box out to your desktop. It can be stubborn but keep trying. Now you can go to your forum topic, complete your message and select the icon above the type that reads "insert/ edit image as you rollover it. Select that and you should get a window to insert your 'Webloc'' picture from the desktop and drag it to that window. Make sure that the webloc part is on the select window, not the type. Press ok and it should load to your topic on the forum. Good luck! It does fight you all the way but you finally get the hang of it!

Max

PS--more help if you need it , I hope I didn't miss anything!

This might help a bit. The forum has changed slightly since this was processed, for the way you post the pics on the site is a little differant.

There is a section of the forums for help topics, way down at the bottom of the list of forums.  There used to be a help section up near the top, but with the new arrangement of forums, it is now down near the bottom of the list.  There are quite a few threads about photo posting down there.

The ForumTechnical Assistance forum is the main forum for such help, but the forum below it, Testing, is often used for test posts when learning the technique.
