“This is the old Monogram 1/48 scale F-104G Starfighter,” Darrick says. “This was the last Starfighter retired by Jagdbombergeschwader 33. It was painted in this unusual scheme, the Büchel “Canary,” in honor of the occasion. I built this model back in the 1980s in a plain gray paint scheme, but when I came across these decals after all those years, I just knew I had to redo that plane.”
