Been modeling since the ripe old age of 5, and I have to blame my Dad for getting me into modeling, avaition & automotive mechanics, also been a member of the USAF since 1982 but most of the years are being an Reservist but have 5 years of Active Duty from 1982 to 1987 and stationed at Nellis AFB Nv working on F-16A/B's of the 474 TFW, and Hahn AB W. Germany working on F-16A - D's of the 50 TFW, then got out and went to school and got my FAA Airframe & Powerplant License and was hired on with Martin Marietta (now Lockheed/Martin) worked Galileo, Magellan, TES and Titan 2's, 4's & Commercial Titan, then laid off and returned to the USAF this time as a Reservist working C-130B's for the 302 TAW at Peterson AFB Co, then was Activated and Deployed for Operations Desert Sheild/Desert Strom/Provide Comfort to Mindenhall England & Incirlik Turkey, then returned and changed to the Air National Guard as a Air Guard Technican working on A-7D/K's & F-16C/D's (blk 30) was RIFted by the 1992 BRAC in 1993 and became an Automotive/Diesel Mechanic but was still a Weekend Warrior and went back to the C-130's at Peterson AFB but this time they where the C-130H-3's, then in 1999 I was hired on as an A & P Mechanic working for Duncan Aviation working on Corprate Aircraft, then 9/11/2001 happened and was laid off AGAIN but at this time I transfered to Whiteman AFB Missouri working on the A-10A's back in October 2000 and in March 2002 was Activated and Deployed to Kuwait & Afghanistan for Operation Enduring Freedom and in August of 2002 returned home and Deactivated but just 5 months later (Feb 2003) was Re-activated and Deployed for Operation Iraqi Freedom to Tallil AB & Kirkuk AB Iraq for 6 Months then returned home and de-activated in Feb 2004, then in July 2004 was hired on as an Air Reserve Technican with the 459 ARW at Andrews AFB Md working on KC-135R's and Redeployed to Incirlik Turkey for OIF and Humanatarian Mission to Pakastans Earthquake in Oct 2005, then in August 2007 was transfered to Lackland AFB Tx to work C-5A/B's, since I've been here I've had the pleasure to be Commissioned to build the complete (of kits produced) USAF's aircraft inventory from 1919 to present in 1/72 scale for the Lackland H & T Museum (Now Lackland's Airmans Heritage Museum)
And in all this time I've been building models ranging from Aircraft (mostly 1/48 scale), Armor (mostly 1/72 scale), Automotive (mostly 1/24-25 scale MOPAR cars), It mostly depended on where I was working, when being an Automotive & Diesel Mechanic I built the Armor & Auto's
