Former USAF B-52 gunner (1978-1992), married with 3 children (2 of them out of the nest), 10 yr old daughter who is the light of my life! Married to a wonderful woman that fully supports my hobby! I'm a totally disabled vet who can do nothing but stay at home and gripe and build models. I was an avid modeler when I was 10 years old up until I was in my mid 20's then left it alone and now that I'm disabled, my wife and I thought I could spend my time doing something I love so I am back in it, headfirst!
My favorite models are Armor (German especially), Aircraft (WWII and Modern), Sci-Fi and Space. I am in the final phase of an F-22 build and my wife just ordered me the 1/32 Scale P-51 by Tamiya. Can't wait for that to get here!
What is a cool story for me is that when I was 12 years old, my dad got me a B-52 model, the large 1/72 scale. I loved that model for it's size and what it did. Little did I know that in 8 years, I would be the same gunner that I imagined myself as in the model I had built! Anyway, I've been hooked on models and the cool stuff that modelers do to make them as realistic as possible.
I look forward to hearing from a few of you when possible and Happy Modeling!
