I am from Valparaiso Indiana, married with 5 kids 19 to 11
While in college and grad school I would buy and sell models at swap meets and dabble in some mail order to support the hobby as I paid my way through school. Over the years I accumulated about a dozen boxes of kits I thought I would someday build and if it were not for my 8 year old now 11 they probably would have sat there.
I re-discovered the fun of the hobby and now subscribe to the new school of not being a "perfectionist" as I saw saw so many fellow modelers get stuckm on maybe building one kit a year. Life is too short and in my absence I find model companies have produced many of the kits I dreamed of having in my favorite scale of "1/32"!!! i.e.
HE-111, JU-88 P-39Airocobra and more. The kits are awesome with the detail and go together rather well.
I love the WW2 era. Would love to see more larger scale Italian aircraft(1/32)as well as some Russian ones too.
I have no problem trying out new paints or items that help build better models and am always looking to improve my skills to get my boys on the right track.
I love how this hobby has helped my son "consume" books and increase his overall knowledge about ww2
