Like most I discovered scale modeling at a young age, probably around eight or nine years old. I made a lot of models back during that period (late 60's to early 70's), but pretty much stopped when I discovered sex, drugs and rock-n-roll. Got into a lot of trouble due to the drugs part of that equation, so I got cleaned up in '78 and have been clean and sober ever since. The sex and rock-n-roll continues though!
Now I've come back to the modeling hobby and I'm loving it!
In the intervening years I worked as a chef for 10 years, then went to art school because I had come to hate cooking. Worked for 10 years for a national news service doing graphic arts and then moved into the advertising world making motion graphics and animations. Been doing that now for 16 years, and will probably stay with it until I retire.
I also spent a lot of time playing guitar and keyboards in several cover bands during the '90's. It was fun, but eventually I could no longer stand spending every weekend playing at dive bars, so I gave it up. I still make a lot of music, recording original material in my basement studio, but don't play in bands any more. That's a young man's game.

That's about it.
