I started modeling as a kid and by the time I entered college I had a large collection of aircraft, armor and ships. I got married after college and didn't have time for modeling due to job and family requirements. When my son reached 9 or so, I tried to interest him in modeling but it didn't take. But my daughter who was 8 did like it and we build a number of models together, mainly SciFi and Fantasy, until she entered college. Then nobody wanted to model but me.
So I bought some model aircraft, snatched up an airbrush and started in. So now I'm trying to learn how to use an airbrush to paint models (as opposed to using strictly brushes) and learning how to add detail to a kit. Great fun and I'm glad that I stuck with it. My wife is tolerant of my renewed obsession so all-in-all, I'm a lucky guy.
