My current residence is Chapin, SC. I started building models when I was about 8 years old. In those days you could buy a model plane for $.69. For $1.95 you could buy a Revell battleship. By the time I was 14, I developed other interests that took me away from modeling.
My father was in the 101st Airborne, glider division. When I found a Revell WACO glider, that I carried around the country for years; my wife encouraged me to build it as a gift for my Father. That was a one-time build in 1995. It was another ten years before I got serious about the hobby and started building again. I started with Revell's 1/96 Cutty Sark, which I gave up on because there are other projects I prefer to be working on in the limited build time I have left. My main interest turned to aircraft. It seems I do more research than building; but I am enjoying it.
Career wise, I was an accountant for about 20 years. It seems that God had other plans. Since 1985 I have been in Christian ministries. The ministry is something that you never retire from until such a time when you are retired!
May the LORD bless you and keep you…
