I was born and raised on the east coast, where I lived until the late 80s. Now transplanted into the midwest. I was disabled a few years back so now I just try and find things to keep me busy. I have been doing model kits since I was 4 years old. My first kit was a revolutionary war cannon my parents bought for me on a trip to the Bunker Hill Monument in Massachusetts. My first aircraft model was an old Monogram 1/72 Supermarine Spitfire and ME-109 combo kit we purchased at the local Sears stores while they still sold them. After that, I have done a bit of everything but aircraft models, especially WWII era aircraft have been my favorite. I can no longer do small scale kits because of problems with getting my hands into small spaces and reduced coordination, so I pretty much stay to 1/48 and 1/32 scale (When I can afford 1./32). I have been slowly trying to swap and sell most of my 1/48 kits to get 1/32 scale counterparts and have found that it's much more fun with the larger scale anyways. You can put a lot more detail into them. My other hobby is 3D computer modeling, which I have been doing since about 1996.
