Currently employed as what's known as a Sexton in a very busy church located in the Hill Country of south central Texas. Prior to that I worked in the restaurant industry for over 30 years moving up the corporate ladder with various national and regional chains. Finally, got sick and tired of the rat race and "political machinations" of that world and happily left it. Since then I've piddled around for the past few years and now I'm eagerly looking forward to retiring completely within the next several months.
As a young boy, I thoroughly enjoyed building all kinds of plastic model kits: cars, planes, battleships, and the tall ships. I would mow lawns in the neighborhood in order to save money to buy these kits, spending hours at my little "work station." Getting back into the modelling hobby has been a huge joy for me. And reading about and seeing the masterpieces that the folks on this forum have put together is truly inspirational.
I also recognize that I've got a whole lot to learn even to be minimally proficient as a modelist, and I'm looking forward to your suggestions and advice and how to improve.
