Was born on July 05 1960, commercial pilot and industrial engineer. Married since 32 years with a spaniard sparky girl we have two children. Living in Mexico since 23 years ago. I started building models at age 10 with..... an airplane of course! was a beautiful P47 Republic then I subsequently built some other model airplanes like a Starfighter, Camberra, and some models not related to aviation like an America yatch from Revell, a monster rat with a bike, a Sikorsky sky crane with a battlefield hospital. When I was 16, I quit building models because I started playing football so my schedule was at the top of its capacity with college and football. When got married I stared again with a Douglas A1 Skyrider with retractable landing gear. As from then, I loved this art of making models. I had to go back and forth with my life in Europe and in America so I lost part of my collection in every moving from place to place. Currently I have only about 500 models from all those in my life. I feel now as if I had lost part of my life with my missing models: Harriers, A7's, Tomcats, Spitfires, many many automobiles in very different scales, Hornets, a beautiful Mosquito bomber, and many more that went away forever. Those were about 200 plastic models. Later when I got here, I started with trains in HO scale. Why being an aviator I changed for "tracks"?..... perhaps because of when I was a kid we were very poor and never had one. I dream even today with a fabulous giant track, even larger than the one that I have now that is 4x10 ft. My older son arrived and we started doing "experiments" with it and definitively when arrived my baby daughter, everything went out from its base to form part of cities under siege of dinosaurs and some other kind of story tale. Oh God !, those were a fabulous years with my children, my wife and my models. I've always feel very profund for the US Navy, and in these last years I've accumulated a sort of models related to the US NAVY (I'm a scuba diver also), to British and German NAVY. I have an old Bismarck from Linderg you could not believe. After many years dealing with quality of plastic kits, I've seen many that you couldn't name scale models. So I started scratch built in order to enhance finishing. I've never consider my self as an outstanding modeler after all but, God knows I try hard every time to get the best results. Truth is that I build to get fun for myself and I allways try only the artbox and nothing beyond that point. It is now that I have gained criteria about what is serious scale modeling, so I'm trying to enhance this Bismarck battleship as a challenge to myself. Thanks for the time fellas.
