An artist and designer by trade I've been building models since the early 1980's when I was a kid . The first glue together model I ever built was the Monogram 1/48 P-51D Mustang (Detroit Miss) that was purchased for me from Children's Palace. I built the entire kit in one evening, decals and all!
Now days my pace is quite about slower, but needless to say I'm much more patient and the results of my modeling is much better than the results I achieved in my childhood.
My favorite modeling subject is military aircraft. Vietnam and WWII era aircraft hold a special place in my heart as my father was ex Air Force, serving during NAM, and my grandfather served in the Navy in WWII.
Occasionally I stray from aircraft to build other subject matter, space, sci-fi or automobiles. As of this writing I am in the final stages of complete a 1/350 model of Space Battleship Yamato.
I'm married and have two 4-your-old kids, twins. If I finish 3 models a year I feel lucky to have had the time.
