Hi all,
I started modelling again in 2010 after 30 years of craving . I recently posted pics of my endeavors to give you an idea of what keeps me occupied.
Military aircraft from WWII in 1/72 have my special interest. I used to build any model I like, but now I work "theme-wise". I recently built models for the theme "Air War over the Atlantic", and now I'm working at a theme called 'Too little, Too late" which deals with Luftwaffe jets that have actually flown (no "what ifs" for me...).
As an historian I love modelling, but also doing research on the kits I build. It's wonderful to see how many pics, videos and information are to be found on the internet. Much of this stems from archives that were never openend or accessible beforte. YouTube is in that regard an Eldorado for me. It helps making my kits as historically correct as possible. For that is my overall ambition, apart from the fact that it's great fun!
Still I'm in the process of relearning modelling skils and learning new techniques. This forum is very helpful!
Cheers from The Netherlands!

The Dutch Fokker G-1 Reaper heavy fighter. If we only would have had more of these back in May 1940....
