hi my name is des. i have been a model maker for nearly 30 years. i started when my uncle showed me a 1/32nd mirage that he had built. i have modelled about everything. about five years ago i started the vietnam special interest group in the uk and it is thriving. i had to had over the reins when i attended university. i presently work as a staff nurse (mental health) in the uk. having changed careers after twenty five years as an aircraft engineer. at the moment i have 3 wip a scratch built 1/16th scale m35 truck a 1/72nd s100 and a model of wallace and grommet. the uniform represents a chief petty officer in the sea cadet corps
