Licensed aircraft engineer with Bahrain Royal Flight, currently on rotary types only. I have been a modeller as far back as I can remember though I do have long periods of inactivity. I have no particular interest group, if I like it I'll build it. I do need to find ways of enhancing a model though, maybe with lights, or a moving radar, anything to make it a bit different.
Most of my previous models sadly got destroyed in a house move a few years ago so I am starting with a clean slate.
I have all of the major fixed wing types of aircraft I have worked on over the years, but I am struggling to find the rotary stuff, particularly in need of AW139 and S-92, so come on manufacturers give us these types. These kits (some resin some injection) are stored for building when I retire.
Current projects are a Billing Boats Oseberg, Tamiya Kawasaki ZZR1400 motorcycle and just ordered a 1:144 scale Apollo LUT from David Maier at Educraft.
In addition to building I am writing a novel, a keen photgrapher, and until I moved to the middle east a keen motorcyclist (ZZR1400 or ZX-14 as my cousins across the pond would know it). As mad as the drivers are here I will have to get back on two wheels, other motorcyclists will know what I mean.
