i have been trying to make models over the last 20 years. I'm Mostly into the Robotech/Macross models. However i also like to do RPG miniatures, Autos, and well any type of model. I have a 2 year old daughter, and spending time is priority. However, when i get some time to myself, i find myself at my workbench tinkering away.
I just recently purchased my first airbrush, and I'm trying to learn it. My paints i use vary from Tamiya to Vallejo, to model masters. However it's mostly acrylics do to my daughter, and only having the house to paint in.
The one thing i love most about this hobby is that it's International. You can get tips on how to use rattle-cans from a man in china, then turn right around and learn paint techniques from a guy in India. This Hobby creates a fellowship without race, location, or language. i wish the world would learn from scale modelist habits and brotherhood.
Beware of the MUDTRAP!! (Modeling Unexpected Disaster That Really Alleviates Progress!!)
Plan, research, plan some more, test, then...think about execution :)
