I' m from small town Illinois. If you've ever taken an exit off the interstate in the mid-west to gas up or grab a bite to eat, that's pretty much what my town looks like. I was born here in 1971, grew up, left to see the world a few times (including some time in the Army) but always came back. There's no place like home: friends, family, hobbies, pass times and habits, a warm house and a big yard. I'm single and plan to stay that way. I raise German Shepherd Dogs (my pack consists of Danko, Hexe, Baja and Freyja), work part time self-employed, have coffee with my buddies, watch the evening news and go to bed before midnight. I have no delusions of grandeur nor any callings to greatness. I take my time doing the things I like and waste no time when doing the things I don't like. It's not like a 9-5 job. You do what you have to do as well as you can so you can go home and do what you want to do. Someone else can have the rat race. I may take a little longer to learn things than some but I don't just want to know HOW to do something, I also want to know the WHY that something works, the fundamentals, so to say. I've got several hobbies that I bounce between and when one gets boring or needs some thought, I take a break and come back to it later
I'm also an HCM survivor, to date anyway. You'll have to excuse my "not to worried about it" attitude. After 13 years of that *** I've got enough things to be serious about. Life's pretty good when I can take my mind away from it. So when it comes to my hobbies and my pass times, why spoil a good thing? I'm a layman's perfectionist and a perfectionist's layman.
