I started working as aircraft mechanic and sheetmetal worker at Fokker in the Netherlands. Next I joined Transavia Holland as a charter company in 1968. I worked on the DC-6, Airbus A-300 and became licensed for the Caravelle, B-707, B-737-200/300 and the next generation B-737-700/800. I did shift work all my life, and has been a shift manager for 10 to 15 years, and attending Heavy maintenance by 3 parties. Last I became A/P Maintenance Controller until retirement. I had been thinking what to do when I retire. When I found a copy of Finescale modeler in a bookshop (February issue 1990) with an artical about filling cabin windows for an Airliner. It was after reading that article I became hooked, and began building model airplanes. And have been modeling ever since.
