I've been model building for 33 years. I started on spacecraft kits, but now build aircraft, armor, ships, Indy cars, anything Star Wars related (from the original three movies of course) and figures. But I'll drop everything for a chance to build another real spacecraft model. I have three kids which includes one son. Like his friends, he has no interest in building models of his own. I'm a past V.P. of my local IPMS chapter and I still continue attend our monthly meetings. I enjoy model building very much as I find it to be the ultimate form of 3D art. But I must admit that I'm not "fanatical" about the hobby, because like I said, it's only a hobby. Life is full of other pleasures to be enjoyed as equally.
