Greetings from Southern Arizona. Back in the 1970’s, my brother and I built about everything you could think of in glorious plastic. We had between us probably two dozen Monogram 1/48 scale WW2 Aircraft, including their B17 and B24. And of course there were many tanks, ships, a few cars, and even an attempt on the USS Constitution.
Now since I am retired, its been very relaxing for me to get back to it. There is so much information out there and I have started airbrushing and learning how to weather. I am amazed on the talent of the people on this forum and am learning a lot and even overcoming my fear of painting figures. There is so much for me to learn. Thanks for sharing your experiences and knowledge.
Kirk
Welcome back to the hobby, Kirk, and welcome to the forum! We probably built a lot of the same kits back in the day. I look forward to seeing more of your builds, and don’t be afraid to paint a figure. You probably have the skills, so it’s just a matter of practice, like anything else.
Best regards,
Brad
Welcome back to modelling- nice work on the T-34!
Welcome to the FSM forums, Kirk! Happy to have you aboard.

Welcome to FSM, Looks pretty good, lots of new techniques and products to learn about here.
Welcome to the forums, and welcome back to the hobby. Your modeling childhood sounds a bit like mine, except I didn’t have a brother to share kits, I got them all to myself.
Welcome back! Sounds like my list of models - started when I was 7. I too am in AZ. Look forward to your projects. T-34 looks great.
Welcome back. If you don’t mind the “sticker shock” of the kit prices you’ve picked a good time to return. Kits today are much better than in the 70s (although Tamiya made some very good kits then - they’re still dirt cheap - check any of the Zeros or tanks.) Paints are better. Everything is better. And between forums like this and YouTube there is an ocean of information about kits, techniques etc etc. Good hunting.
Welcome to the Forum, and back to the hobby. Very nice job on the tank. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.
Welcome back to this wonderful hobby and to the FSM Forum! Your Russian tank looks amazing!
