stcat Seems rather foolish to make us jump through hoops to post our pictures. We're paying for a subscription.

You pay a subsription for the magazine not the forums, the forums for all doesnt matter if you subscripe or dont even read the magazine you can use the forum, if you want to advertise your builds for without the hassel of a third person site I suggest you submit them to be published (either in print or electronic version). These forums are maintained via profit from the advertisiing on them not the magazine, yes there are other parts of this site (not forum) that are devoted to the magazine here in the forums we may even talk about other competing magazines, many sites wont allow talk of competetors. If you find this to much hassel maybe you should look elsewhere but you will find any larger site has the same policy, they just cant host all those images. Thats a business in and of itself.

I see little difference between posting from my computer, and having to find an online file storage location that then allows me to post. Forum members are embedding pictures of their models in this manner.
Seems rather foolish to make us jump through hoops to post our pictures. We're paying for a subscription. For what? Text only? When I finish a model, I want to show people. Server space is not so prohibitive that you take our money, and then give us so little in return. The days of the BBS are over. Let us post our pictures without a major effort. Or you may find we will go elsewhere and pay a service that offers us more value. Not a threat. Just a business suggestion.
Avatars are small files hosted by the forum usually no more than 10k, if the forum were to start hosting all the model images that get posted here daily it would soon become cost prohibitive, the only forums I've seen that do host there own picture are usually smal local groups, every large forum I've ever been part expects users to partake of a third party image host.
I suggest you revise the sistem of posting pictures.
A simple way to consider would be to post pictures in the same manner that one would alter their avatar: by using browse to find an image file on their computer.
That would be a needed improvement.
