My bag is with me all the time... We are all Volunteer, and I carry a pager and hand held 2 way... I'm on call 24/7/365 unless I travel out of the coverage  area or have an adult beverage.. so.. my turn out gear for fires, and my EMS bag are in my vehicles..and cause I'm the chief.. Maine lets me have red lights on the roof and a siren... I respond to EMS calls w my personal vehicle.. unless the call requires something that is on my rescue trucks, or engines..Smile

Yeah I think I remember you telling me that before. Our volunteers usually respond to EMS calls with the Engine or one of the two Squads (Pickups with utility bodies). They never respond POV unless they're right around the corner. My bag is for my personal use as I drive long distances sometimes (San Antonio). I did volunteer with a dept long time ago that did the same thing you do. We responded to the scene POV if it was an EMS call.

Conversation: Hijacking Threads

Aaron, please perform the same magic on the thread "Codger Forum" as you did today as did for "The irony...a little war story". What I started about the remembrances of old modelers has wandered into something about kayakers. Thank you.

Old, codgerly minds - especially those who have spent years inhaling paint & glue fumes - tend to wander off at times!

I have a codger-confession for you... Over the weekend I was re-arranging the stash (aka, adding two when the wife wasn't around!!) And stumbled upon my boxing of the Me410, which has recently moved up my "I need to build this soon" list after seeing ChukW's build a few months back. So I open up to find.... the friggin' thing is probably 1/2 done, cockpit etc all sealed up, wings on! Hmm Sooooo, either I started it when I was still in College & forgot about it after packing up & moving 3 times, or Manny's cats have infiltrated my stash and are building sub-assemblies for me now...

The good news is, they don't seem to have scratched any of the glass with their claws...

Those cats jump on you while you sleep so you wake to see a pair of green, glowing eyes just in front of you?

One of them (the black one of course) used to wait until the lights were off, then quietly slip onto the bed & stare at me until I realized she was there, gave her a quick pat & then she'd leave. There's nothing creepier than suddenly realizing that an animal has been staring at you in the dark for 10 minutes! Indifferent

I have an all black dog that likes to do that. We nicknamed her "Ninja". She likes to sneak up and stare at you while you're asleep. Or she'll hide in the dark and scare the crap out of you.

I knew I hit it when I went into a college bar here and heard this 20-something chick say in a stage whisper to her friend, "Psst! Debbie! Somebody's DAD is here!"...

That was ten years ago...

Youth is wasted on the Young... And Young are mostly  wasted...

Saw my fly was open th' other day... Asked the wife why she didn't say anything...  She replied, "Didn't care... What can't get up, can't get out.."...

When I was a kid,  Mom'd send me down to the store with two bucks and I'd come back with a bag of taters, three loaves of bread, two bottles of milk, can of coffee, chunk of cheese and a pound of bologna... Can't do that anymore...

Too many effin' security cameras....

Hey! If you were in the Peanut Gallery (or if only parked in front your TV), quickly — name all the vehicles that made up the Air-O-Doodle. (This is a modeling forum after all.)
