I think the tech boys got the problem resolved since I have staid logged on for the last day or so on both my computer and phone. Thanks Aaaron for the update.

Guys,

I undertstand that the issue of logging in every time should be fixed now. Please let me know if it remains a problem.

Cheers, Aaron

Taking Sailor Steve's comment about turning off "compatibility" for FSM on Internet Explorer, now I can log in via my PC.  Thanks Sailor Steve!

As reported earlier, everything is working normally for me again after dumping the 'Compatibility' settings for IE.

I had switched to Edge a few days back and got in but had to sign in every time, Saturday tried IE and got back in on that browser and stayed logged in. Never had a problem with my phone ( Android).

For anyone's interest, I'm using Firefox and I have to log in every time I visit.  I have the 'Keep Me Logged In' box checked but I have to enter my e-mail address and password (all letters, no numbers) everytime I want to access the forums.  When logging in pre-update, all I had to do was enter the first letter of my e-mail address and the system would open a pop up window with my cmplete e-mail address.  All I had to do was click on it and it would pre-fill that portion of the log in window.  I always had to enter my password though.  I haven't tried to access the forums on laptop (Mac) or my Samsung phone (wifi access only).

Isn't progress a wonderful thing?!  Where's the sarcasm emoji when you need it?

Just come on this morning and i didn't have to log in and was able to get into my account, so somthings been done. Just got to work out how to change my password before i get locked out completly.

I also noticed that my account number is not on the mailing info of my mag as it should be, which is probably why i could log in with it before.

If i didn't know better, i would say they were trying to kill the forum off. This does not look good to new members and even the older ones are getting a bit tired of it. How many more are we going to have to lose.

Yeah this was a nice hiccup in things. Why does it seem like the last couple of forum changes each seem to be one step forward and two steps back with multiple glitches popping up that take quite awhile to resolve? We still do not have spell check that was working just fine before the summer reboot....

Okay, this is getting interesting. I was logging into my PhotoBucket account and got a message that I needed to update my browser or use a different one. I have the very latest IE, and I don't like using Edge there because it is slow and draggy, and drops letters from time to time. I checked the IE settings and I had changed the compatability settings for both IE and FSM. I dropped them both and not only is PhotoBucket working better with IE, but I'm able to log in here using IE again!

I'm still having the hyperlink problem with my pictures, but at least now I can drop Edge again.

And somthing else i have noticed, not quite related to the log in issues, but has only just happened since the change. On the recent discussions page, it does not show the number of views or replies, but i am sure it did before. And it still does in My Discussions. Anyone else notice this.

Bish -

No, everything was the same when I finally got logged back in. It showed the replied/viewed count in each sub-forum. The only thing that I noticed different and has fixed itself since then is the very bottom sub-forums were in larger than normal section boxes.

I think there's two issues at play here.

I can log onto the FSM page using my old user name and password. I have the "keep me logged in" box checked, but it does time out after I've been off the page for a while.

The second issue, I think, relates to Kalmbach's overall customer database. If you click on "update account" it requires you to log in. If you select "log in using your email and password", it will reject your existing password, even though you are still logged into the FSM page.

The next thing I tried was the "forgot my password" option to reset my password. Upon entering my email address and reconfirming, it returns a message "Please enter a valid email address" Yet this is the same email address which I used to log in to the FSM page.

Yep, exctly the same here. And when i try and use my account number, it won't except that either.

Yea Stik, I didn't have a problem with my phone, but I don't utilize it for web stuff, I rely on laptop. Don't know if it makes a difference but I've got an android AT&T and it keeps me logged in. The reason I mention it is because when I switched browsers from IE to Edge all connection issues vanished, with the exception of keeping me logged in, have to sign in every time, a minor issue after the ----storm of the past week. I still can not connect using IE so software issues still remain. After all is said and done the moral of the story is that the " reach-out" to users was p--- poor.

Site will not keep you logged in but logged in again no problem, so far.

We appear to be Yin and Yang on this Templar. My laptop keeps me logged in with no problems. But I can not log into the site on my phone still. I really do hope that they correct this bug early next week. I expect no work to occur on the problem over the weekend.

Anyone else still having problems, other than me?

Yep, still having to sign in every time, not able to enter code for subscriber only content and can't access account to change password, but my old password is still working.

Hello All -

FINALLY! After 3 days and talking to 6 different Customer Service Reps (5 that had no clue of what was going on) I finally spoke to a young woman name "Jill"  she got me lined out in 1 minute....login as normal and make sure to check "keep me login" box then press enter.....it took me right in.

Aaron, if you read this please inform this young woman that she was an immense help and that she saved me from heavy withdrawls (lol). It's a shame that the other five women I spoke with had no idea of the problem nor the remedy. It's great to be back in.

Yep, i keep that box checked, but still have to log in. Funny thing is, i am still useing my old password, which i thought was supposed to not work as it has no numbers.

Same password with no numbers??? hmmmm...if it ain't broke why fix it.
