PROBABLY A REALLY DUMB QUESTION, BUT....
Posted by the doog on Friday, April 13, 2007 4:15 PM
Well, like I said, probably a dumb question, but...does anybody know what the little icons mean where, before the "subject" post title there's a little gold star, or a red asterisk? This is driving me crazy! Is there a grading system or something?!?!

The little red astrisk on the icon indicates that you haven't read the thread or there have been new posts since you last visited. If you've already read the thread, it will be gray.

The gold star indicates a "popular post" that has achieved a minimum number of replies (10 or so, I think). If you've read these threads too, the icon will be gray.

The stars are a rating system, but not on popularity. Everyone can rate treads using the "rate" button on the top of the tread. For instance, I gave this tread a 5 star rating....
