Dennis. First of all welcome to the forum. Glad you are here. Secondly if you want to post pics you have to get a photo account. Alot of us use photobucket. Some use flickr and others but you get the general idea. Tell you what. I'll find the tutorial that Doogs ATX sent to me and I'll post it here. Be back with you in a bit, Joe

Well crap! I cant find it. Oh well I'll do the best for you th at I can. Once you register for a photo bucket account and have that all set then you do this: When you want to reply on here use the Rich Formatting icon option after you click on the reply button. With your photobucket account running in a second window just hover your mouse pointer over the picture(under albums) on the pic in the photobucket  window. Boxes will appear underneath your pic. The second one down will be "direct link" Just click the window it one time and it will say "copied". Come back to the FSM and click the icon that is just left of the filmstrip icon (6 spaces to the left of the smiley face icon on the lower row) and a drop down window will appear. Then right click in the space provided and your picture will be pasted there. Then click

DennsDB63

I would like to know how to post photos in forums or threads. Thank you Dennis

  1. Set up an account with a place like Photobucket. There’s other services but this is the one a lot of FSM folks use. I recommend that you have an account dedicated for your models, separate from your personal photos, but there’s no requirement for it.
  2. Upload your pictures to your account/album. The FSM site doesn’t provide any photo storage, so if you delete your image, your post will have a hole.
  3. (This works best if you open 2 windows: 1 in FSM and 1 in Photobucket, et al) Go to the Photobucket window and highlight and copy the “Direct Link” address. Go to the FSM widow containing your unfinished post. Go to the menu bar above your post, the icon that looks like a cellphone, the 2nd tier of the message control bar, the ELEVENTH icon  It says ‘Insert Media’… CLICK IT. Paste the Direct Link address into the appropriate space. Then hit insert.
  4. Wait for the FSM site to show the photo, etc. etc.

Occasional factual, grammatical, or spelling variations are inherent to this thesis and should not be considered as defects, as they enhance the individuality and character of this document.

I always use the "IMG code" in Photobucket and just copy and paste, without the Insert Image box in FSM. Isn't that normal way to do it too?

So if you use the IMG option insted of the direct links, you don't need to use the insert image link. I didn't know that.
