That's a good general tip to remember, if you use Internet Explorer as your browser of choice. As new releases of the browser come out, they may be more advanced in their code, for lack of a better term, than the websites you visit. Using CV allows the browser to display content on existing/older pages, with little or no issue I speak from experience. I work for an IT company and one of our main applications is written specifically for use with IE, and we're always a little behind Microsoft's development. We tell our customers using that app to have CV on by default for our web app.

Had this happen when I used IE. Switched to google chrome and the problem went away.
I don't think that stickies stick, is it possible for something to be put in the help section about IE11 & compatibility view?
It seems to be a frequent issue.
