Please Help! I still do not get notifications

I have the same problem regarding email notifications that you have. Just forget it. Kalmbach has no interest in fixing the problem. Just to let you know, the email notification problem exists in all of their forums.

I've been through this several times - last time last January. I've been a long time user of your forums for over ten years and normally they've worked just fine. Then, for no reason, they quit. I used a second email address and created a new profile yesterday but the result is the same. I join a Group Build Forum (in my case British Army and 75th Anniversery 1945). I can post. I can log back on. I can see my post. I have most definitely subscribed to the forum. This has always worked in the past. So let's look at my settings. According to DISCUSSIONS I have made a post on your Test Forum and am a member of the British Army and 75th Anniversery Group Builds. I subscribed to both lists and requested email on the Test forum. According to Email Notifications: Under Forums - it says "Not Subscribed to Any Forum": Under Forum Topics the three forums I am subscibed to are all listed (Test, British Army, 75th Anniversery.) Obviously for some reason the Email Notification list does not reflect the instructions I've given it. (Under Forum Topics, I am able to "Remove" all topics listed above.)

As there was nothing wrong for years (other than a temporary collapse of the forums during the IPMS meetings in, I think, 2018) and then things simply stopped, the problem is most certainly on your end. I ask you to please fix this. I like the group builds a lot - I base my builds around them. I have known many of these people for years. For what its worth every other site I'm on with a forum (KitMaker, WorldwarIaircraft) works flawlessly. And so has yours for the greater part of a decade.

I'll make a deal. You fix this problem and I'll renew my subscription to Finescale. I subscribed to your magazine to show my appreciation for the forums - frankly, I really don't need any more "how to" articles at my stage. (I didn't know my subscription had ended because you kept sending me issues on Zinio because I was on a digital account. So there was no email sent to me reminding me to renew. I've told your office I'm getting issues not paid for - I've got July 2020 - but would be glad to renew.

One of the Group Build leaders has told me that others are having troubles like this. Please consider fixing this - it can only help Kalmbach. And it can only help me - I have no desire to get involved with Facebook.

Hey everyone! I wish I had better news but I honestly don't know when the notification issue will be resolved. Kalmbach's tech team is still working to fix this issue but it is a lower priority. I will continue updating them with the information you give me and will let you know when I hear news. I hope you can still enjoy this forum with all of its scale modeling goodness.

This problem isn't going away any time soon, I think. I first noticed problems in February, although I hadn't been very active up to that time so I may not have noticed the issue with email notifications. On February 25, I wrote to enash, at her request, to tell her that I still wasn't seeing the notications. Now, more than two months later, nothin'. It seems clear that FineScale's management just doesn't consider this forum to have any importance to their bottom line. I've given up hoping for an improvement, and just try to learn as much as I can (and offer help when I can). 

(It seems as well that notifications aren't sent for personal messages, either. At least none of the ones I've sent have been answered.)

no login name showing

can anyone tell me how to tell when notifications start to work again?  Do they just start dumping old ones in the mailbox or do i have to activate them again or something else?  Tks.  Mine are still not working.

I have not received an email notification since the middle of January. I posted this problem on this forum in January and I still do not receive notifications. In fact, I receive no email notifications from any Kalmach forum. I have sent private messages to enash a number of times and I still get no email notifications. I do not blame her for not being able to fix the problem. The fix to this problem is out of her hands.

I'd be interested to know if anyone is getting the emails. Or is it a case of people not bothering to advise. I know in my case I didnt advise until recently, but emails have not worked for me in many months now.

OH NO! After I posted the above reply I was able to "subscribe' to this post. 

Here are the sequence of events:

1. Removed this link from 'E-mail Notifications/Forum Topics'
2. Clicked on this post and the "subscribe" tab was missing.
3. Posted a reply to this topic.
4. Went to the top of the topic and the "subscribe" tab was visible.
5. Clicked on the "subscribe" tab.
6. Went to "E-mail Notification/Forum Topics" and this link was in the list of subscribed topics.

Now this is weird. I just removed this link from  "Forum Topics" . When I went back to this post I was unable to subscribe to it. Weird.

When I go to 'E-mail notifications/Forum Topics" I CAN remove the links. If I then go to that link I can click on "resubscribe" which then adds that link back to 'E-mail notifications/Forum Topics". However, I still do not receive any e-mail notifications. I also do not get the pop-up ad at the bottom of my screen that some members are talking about.

Hummm, maybe this has something to do with the problem.   I went to the email notifications tab and saw all the threads I am subscribed to. I tried to remove one or 2 of them and when I clicked on the remove link, no response - nothing like it doesn't even recognize I'm subscribed. Hope this helps the computer gurus. 

Another test to see if I get them now.....  FINGERS CROSSED.

my email notifications are still not coming......  

I have to add my concerns here. I'm a new(ish) FineScale community member, having joined only a few months ago. After a few helpful discussions, suddenly my password no longer worked. I wasn't able to get a new password, and after several other attempts I gave up. Yesterday, in frustration,  I tried again and got "in" with no problems. Pleased I was! But then…

I posted a comment on the completion of a T-34B Mentor model I had previously discussed. I hoped, of course, to get some responses, which is the whole purpose of a discussion board. And I did get a response, but just one, and I did not get an email notice about that response. In looking through the various discussions, I note that many model builders have posted questions and comments in other threads since my post yesterday, but I have not received a single email notice about them.

I know that there are several FineScale members who showed interest in my T-34, and I have no doubt that many of them would have posted comments, but apparently they are still not getting emails either. I appreciate FineScale's efforts to solve this problem, but I certainly don't feel that I'm getting much return on the many dollars I have spent on FineScale subscriptions and books.

I'm sorry it's taking so long everyone. I wish I had a timeline to give you. Moving everything to the cloud is taking longer than expected. Please hold tight (perhaps work on that model sitting on your bench in the meantime...) I promise I'll give you updates as I get them.

The email problem seems to affect all of the Kalmbach forums.I know that I am not receiving notifications from the Scale Auto and Model Railroad forums.
