Frank,

That looks very industry-specific, probably why I never heard of it. There's actualy a guy on the Luxology forums that uses modo for jewelry design and rendering. You can see his stuff here: http://www.luxology.com/community/profile_pop.aspx?name=Midas

Interesting field.

I use Matrix by Gemvision Corp, excellent program but takes a looooong time to master.  I thought I had a screen shot of something here at home, but I was wrong.  I'll get some material next time I'm at work. Thumbs Up [tup]

Why am I not surprised? Gemvision................Oy!

Yeah, let's see it! What app do you use? Apparently jewelry design is pretty a pretty common use of 3D software. Or at least more common than I thought.

Sign - Welcome [#welcome] to the forums!

I checked out your RAH-66, very nice!  I use a 3D modeling program at work for making jewelry, but have dabbled from time to time making airplanes on it.  I'll get a screenshot of my work and show it to.  Glad to have you aboard! Thumbs Up [tup]

Hi all.
Posted by SebastianD on Friday, September 5, 2008 12:57 PM
I find myself in the same position as many others here. Used to build models in wen I lived in Germany all the time, but as I got older and responsibility increased while spare time decreased I got away from the hobby. The desire to create never left though, and now I find myself doing 3D and wanting to get back into scale modeling.

I'm currently working on the RAH-66 Comanche in 3D. If anyone is interested, the work in progress is here: http://forums.luxology.com/discussion/topic.aspx?id=28745

If anyone else is also into 2D or 3D imaging and military art, you might enjoy this website I recently discovered: http://www.mil-art.com They cover military art in general, fine scale, 2D and 3D.

As time goes on I'm hoping to contribute as much as I can, though at first it will be a lot of taking. Such is the life of a n00b... :)

Take care and thanks for putting up with the rambling.
